Hildegarde C. (O’Shea)

Age 89, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2017.  Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Timothy J. Sullivan; loving mother of Mary Eileen (William) Swazuk, Ann Germaine (Timothy) Huebert, Theresa Carol (Noel) Twyman and the late Timothy J. Sullivan, Jr.; grandmother of Sam (Rachel) and Stephanie Swazuk, Kelsey Huebert and Emily (Brandon) Weiser, Amelia and Elizabeth Twyman; great grandmother of Adam Francis, Paul Francis and Benjamin Timothy; sister of Margaret Mapes and Kathleen Gage.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia, Madeline and Dolores.  Hildy was a proud graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and practiced as a registered nurse for over 40 years.  She was a founding and active member of St. Germaine Catholic Church.  She volunteered at Jefferson Hospital and was a member of the Southwestern PA RN Club.  Hildy enjoyed playing bridge, travelling and going to the casino, but what gave her the most enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 6-8 pm and Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Paul L. Henney Memorial Chapel, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, 11 am, at St. Germaine Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for a nursing scholarship in memory of Hildy Sullivan to Southwestern PA RN Club, c/o Stephanie Gardiner, 226 Hytyre Farms Dr. Gibsonia, PA 15044
