Rose Marie Schreiner, age 88 of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 31, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Richard J. Schreiner. She was born in Knoxville, PA on February 25, 1927 to the late Charles “Chad” and Lydia Bodenhagen McCollough. .
Also surviving are her two sons Richard (Ardis) Schreiner and Mark (Laura) Schreiner and four grandchildren Kaitlin, Casey, Shane and Luke .
Rose attended Saint Canice grade school in Knoxville and graduated from Carrick High School in 1945.
Rose was President of the Windover Hills Women’s Club and was extremely active in the development and building of the South Park Library. She was the secretary of the South Park Chamber of Commerce. Rose was a Den Mother of the Windover Hills Boy Scouts Pack 510. She was a member of the booster club for the South Park Marching Band.
Rose had a very deep love for animals especially her cats. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles as well as gardening.
Family and Friends will be recieved on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Paul L. Henney Memorial Chapel, 5570 Library Rd. Bethel Park where a blessing service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 10 AM
