Cardamone

Margaret E. (Kobosky)

Age 86, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving husband on Saturday, October 7, 2017.  Beloved wife of Thomas Cardamone, whom she married on January 19, 1951.  Loving mother of Christine (Jim) Stratthaus, Deborah (Andy) Baran; Richard (Nan) Cardamone and Gary (Misha) Cardamone; sister of Carl Kobosky and Donna Linton; mother-in-law of Jodi Cardamone.  She was the proud grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 10 and she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Thomas and Michael Cardamone, her brother Robert Kobosky and her sister, Irene Muskovich.  Margaret was born on April 29, 1931 to Mary and Alex Kobosky, of Castle Shannon.  At fifteen, she was privileged to travel with a troop of performers, as a high-wire performer, who journeyed the east coast.  It was indeed the time of her life.  She had a true passion for this venue and in her later years, shared her many stories as an aerialist with her family and friends.  After graduating from St. Francis Academy, she married her beloved husband, Tom.  They settled down in Bethel Park, where they raised their six children.  She was a very loving and devoted mother and wife.  She was very passionate about cooking for her family and enjoyed sewing and crocheting special gifts for her children and grandchildren.  Over the years, she cherished many moments listening to her husband sing; she especially loved dancing with him.  Other interests she enjoyed were watching hockey and football, gardening, bowling, crossword puzzles and bingo. She will be dearly missed.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd. Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, 9:30 am, St. Anne’s Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
