Of Venetia, age 57; peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 09, 2017; beloved wife of David Matthews; loving mother of Nicholas, Joshua(Rebecca) and Heather; proud grandma of Colton; beloved daughter of Tina and the late Ken Weiland; sister of Michael, Steven Weiland, Dona Gilson, Kathy Weiland, Nancy Gunter and Maureen Davin; daughter in law of Edward and Dorothy Matthews; sister in law of Edward, Jr., Robert, Timothy Matthews and Mary Powell; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.  Christine was co chair of Peters Twp. Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society.  She was a dedicated and long time employee of Saint’s Painting Company.  Family and friends will be received Saturday 6-8 PM and Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul L. Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Finleyville.  Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven.  Family suggests donations to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr. Pgh., PA 15205, Attn Peters Twp. Relay for Life.
