Gayle (Bassett)

Age 97; of Friendship Village, Upper St. Clair; peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017; wife of the late Michael M. Schurko; loving mother of Michael D.(Sally) Schurko and Robert J.(Mary Anne) Schurko; cherished grandmother of Kyra(Eric Kellar) Schurko and Nicolai Schurko; great grandmother of Nina and Thea Kellar; Sister of Elaine Pell and the late Claire Hammett and Robert Bassett.  She was a graduate of S. Hills High School and attended University of Pittsburgh while working at Carnegie Library. She later was office manager for the Girl Scouts of Allegheny County and Investor Securities Corporation. She was a long time member of Bethel Presbyterian Church where a memorial service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017, 10:30 AM in Bethel Presbyterian Church.
