Glenna A. (Fehr) Sabies
Age 91, formerly of Bethel Park, PA passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Asbury Heights in Mt. Lebanon. Glenna was an incredibly strong woman and “artist”. She loved music, painting, violin, and shopping. She enjoyed social activities, travel, musicals, and loved angels, Kentucky, horses, cats and cardinals. She enjoyed sharing stories and especially loved playing the organ for church services and other events. She was an active member of First Bethel United Methodist Church for many years, the UMW, Red Hat Society, and several other organizations. She was a huge Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirates fan.
Glenna was born May 11, 1927 in Lansing, Ohio and preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Harry Fehr; the beloved wife of the late Gerald (Jerry) Sabies; son, Barry Sabies; her daughter, Leigh Lake; her brothers, John, William, Teddy, Alvin, and Robert Fehr; and her sisters, Mildred Meek, Kathryn Taylor, and Freda Boner.
Glenna is survived by a sister, Margaret Franke of Lansing, Ohio; her sister in law, Jean Fehr, multiple nieces and nephews, and beloved Great, Great nieces, Allison and Julia Cipriani of Scott.
Friends received on Saturday, January 5, 11am-1pm; Funeral Service at 1pm at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes., 5570 Library Road., Bethel Park, PA. Interment will be at Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Versailles, KY at a later date.
Glenna will always be remembered for priceless and always present smile. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her and will be missed by her family, friends, and Asbury family.
