Robert “Bob” A.

Age 96; of Bethel Park; peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018; beloved husband of 67 years to Betty(Fuchs) Hirsh; loving father of Deborah Tulak, Robert J. (Jean) Hirsh, Michelle Hirsh, Daniel(Monika) Hirsh, Matthew(Casey) Hirsh and Edward Hirsh; also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his six brothers.  Bob was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a carpenter prior to graduating from Carnegie Tech with two bachelors degrees in Civil Engineering and Industrial Management. Then he was employed for over 30 years by Bettis Atomic Power Plant, a job he truly loved and was awarded a Patent.  Bob was known for being a hard worker and a strong family man. His fondest memories were dinners, holidays and vacations with his family. Bob enjoyed history, current events and traveling; was an active member of St. Germaine Church where he sang in the choir for 40 years. He was very proud of his heritage and his Pittsburgh roots. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, July 26, 2018, 10 AM at St. Germaine Church, Bethel Park.  Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
