Arthur A. Anderson, 83, of South Park, entered Heavenly peace with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 15, 2024.
Arthur was born on February 21, 1941, in Missouri, to the late Leon and Golda (Klineline) Anderson.
He was drafted into the US Army and stationed in Pittsburgh, where he met his wife, Marilyn Langenbacher. They married on April 2, 1966, and spent 57 loving years together until her passing on June 12, 2023.
They had two children, David (Kristin) Anderson and Catherine Salay. They were the proud grandparents of Luke (Courtney), Grace, McKenna, and Kingston; and one great grandchild, Hudson. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Arthur was a man of great faith. He was the head usher at South Hills Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. He greeted everyone with a smile, which made them feel seen and appreciated.
He loved all sports. He was a fan of all the Pittsburgh sports teams, but he was the biggest fan of his children as he supported them in whatever sport in which they were involved. He regularly participated in golf, lawn bowling, and 10 pin bowling leagues. He loved competition.
He was an encourager and friend to many.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, Bethel Park. A Funeral Service will be held at South Hills Church of the Nazarene, 5601 Library Rd, Bethel Park, on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11am.
Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
