Arthur Wargo Obituary

Arthur J. Wargo, of Cranberry Twp., passed peacefully, into his Lord’s Heavenly Kingdom, surrounded by many loved ones and holding his cherished wife’s hand, on Friday August 26, 2022.  Art was married to his life’s love, Alice Wargo for 62 years.  They met in Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church singing in the church choir, a passion of music which they shared throughout their life together and passed on to their children.  Cherished memories will be had on each family member’s birthday of Nan and Pap singing, in perfect harmony, Happy Birthday.  Professionally, Art was a Guidance Counselor at Chartiers Valley School District, helping young men and women to forge forward in their lives the best way, for each individual, he counseled.  Art and Alice were Charter members of John McMillan Presbyterian Church in Bethel Park, and served in various positions, but are most fondly remembered for their participation in the choir where Art often sang solos in his smooth baritone voice.  Christian faithfulness was exemplified to their children over the years and played a big part in the foundation of their faith.  Art was the beloved father of Julie Wolber (Lee), David Wargo (Michal) and Matthew Wargo (Tammy), all who remember their dad as always being present and available for them throughout the good times and the difficult times that life presents.  He was a rock that could be counted on.  Art loved his grandchildren Andrew Wolber (Marqita), Aaron Wolber, Alex Giddings (Haley) Ben Baker (Ashley), Kendal Wargo, Caulen Wargo and Katy Giddings (Jeromy).  He loved his long walks, his music, his family and taking care of his yard, he always had it “just so”.   He was a particular, kind, caring, generous man, who poured out himself for his family.  They were blessed by that time and again and will always remember him fondly for all that he was and continues to be.  A memorial service will be planned for a later time. www.henneyfuneralhome.com
