Barbara Kay (Morrison) Hoover

Barbara Kay Morrison Hoover, 76, of Bethel Park, passed away on August 19, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 3, 1949, a daughter of the late Robert B. Morrison and C. Katherine Schoepf Morrison.

Barbara worked in the legal field for over 30 years as a legal secretary and billing administrator. She retired from K&L Gates in 2015 after 18 years.

On November 26, 1983, she married the love of her life, Ken Hoover, who survives. Barbie and Ken became parents in 1984.  Barbara became a stay-at-home mom and loved taking care of her boys for 12 years before returning to work.

Barbara was an avid reader and animal lover who loved to care for plants and had an expansive taste in music. She also loved to show family and friends her love through her cooking, and if you ever were fortunate enough to eat her food, you know just how special that love was.

She is survived by two sons, Gregory Hoover and R. Douglas (Dee) Hoover; two grandsons, Grady and Eli Hoover; and a brother, Al Morrison.

Barbara is preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a twin brother, James B. Morrison, who died in infancy.

There will be a private memorial service for Barbara. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Pastor’s Fund at Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102.
