Basil Culyba

Basil Culyba, aged 75, passed away on March 4, 2024 at his home in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Basil was born on February 11, 1948 in Donora, PA to Michael and Lillian Culyba. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Washington and Jefferson College, then served a tour in the US Navy. He went on to attend Rutgers Law School and had a successful career as an anti-trust and intellectual property litigator. In his later years, he dedicated his time to supporting democratic freedoms with the Center for Competitive Democracy. 

Basil is survived by his wife, Kaye, children, Mark, David, Liz, Maggie, and Catherine, and 10 grandchildren. The family is truly grateful for the time they had with him.
