Charles "Chuck" Willis Obituary

Charles R. “Chuck” Willis, 77, of Peters Township, PA, was ushered into the presence of the Lord on June 2, 2025. His final moments were especially peaceful as he was surrounded by his beloved family.

Chuck was born in Pittsburgh on December 13, 1947 to the late Charles and Alice (Richard) Willis. He married Susan McPherson in 1974, with whom he spent 51 years of his life, and together they had four children. He was a loving father to Tamara Artnak (Chris), Jamie Andreola (Tony), Michael Willis and Zachary Willis (Paula). He was a devoted ‘pap pap’ to his ten grandchildren: Luke, Emma, Mikaela, Jacob and Elizabeth Artnak, to Josiah, Sophia, Cianna and Joshua Andreola and to Cooper Willis. He is survived by sisters Lorraine Kobert, and Beverly Kohan, and brothers Sheldon and Ronald Willis.

Chuck was very proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army and was well-known throughout the Pittsburgh area and beyond as a prominent businessman, as the owner of Chuck Willis Heating and Cooling for over 45 years.

He was known as a generous and fun-loving guy who was always there for his family. Whether it was coaching his kids’ sports teams, supporting his wife in ministry, handing out $20 bills to his grandchildren, or reaching out to the less fortunate, Chuck always found a way to show his love to those around him.

Perhaps the family’s fondest memories were of their special time at Conneaut Lake where Chuck could be seen cruising across the lake in his boat, making nighttime campfires and multiple trips to Hank’s for ‘the best custard in the world.’

He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
