Christine M. Cullen

On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Christine M. Cullen, beloved wife of Robert M. Cullen, and loving mother of William T. "Tom" Cullen and James P. "Jim" Cullen, passed away at the age of 67.  Chris was born in Pittsburgh, PA; she was the loving daughter of the late Eve (Mlavetz) Fuchs; and she was the sister of Robert Fuchs (Nancy) and Martin Fuchs (Betsy).  Chris and Bob lived in Bethel Park, PA for almost 38 years building a beautiful life together with their two sons.

Chris had various jobs throughout her career from working at Arby’s as an assistant manager in her teenage years to an accounts receivable specialist at TetraTech, where she retired from in 2022.  In between, she was the sole proprietor of My Irish Cottage, a seasonal cart business at various malls in the South Hills of Pittsburgh for over 20 years.  She made several trips to Ireland and always enjoyed sharing her experiences with her customers.

Chris was a big animal lover as witnessed by the numerous dogs, cats and horses she and her family cared for over the years.  She was an accomplished equestrian on her horse, Zorro(Caught Ya Lookin), showing in western equipment and parade classes at various horse shows in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.  Chris was also an avid gardener and always enjoyed showing off her talents to anyone who visited her home in Bethel Park.  She was also a big sports fan, especially ice hockey, and she enjoyed going to several Penguins hockey games every year.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25, 2025, at 11:00am at Crossroads Ministries, 81 Walter Long Road, Finleyville, PA 15332.  Flowers can be sent to the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and/or Tunnels to Towers, Chris’ two favorite charities which she generously supported.
