Claudia Shelton, née Harvard, wife to some, divorcer of all, escaped this mortal realm on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025, at the age of 63. We believe she did this on purpose, to avoid a certain major health group's recently reinstated mask mandate. Nurses say that Claudia had a great day and made her last wildly inappropriate comments before passing peacefully, with family just steps away.
Although a less than average lifespan, Claudia did not live an average life. She traveled where she wanted to travel, laughed obnoxiously at every chance, learned what she wanted to learn, and loved who she wanted to love.
Claudia loved her family more than anything else in the world… except ice-cold Publix sweet tea, Astrology, random people she met while traveling, four-letter words, her two ridiculous Pom-Chi’s (Little and Mouse), and YouTube conspiracy theories.
She didn’t want a funeral. She thought it was not only a waste of money, but it would also deprive her of another opportunity to lob verbal hand grenades and make a snarky comment, before leaving the room.
Claudia is preceded in death by everyone who passed before her.
She is survived by those who remain, including her husband, Brad; two sons, Jeremy (Kayla) and Julien; two granddaughters; and her four siblings.
We could list more, but hey, it’s a large Italian family, and we’re paying by the line, here.
A Celebration of Life will take place later this year. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society, in remembrance of Claudia.
