Craig A. Wolfley
Of Upper St. Clair, age 66; After fighting a short, but courageous battle with cancer, the Lord took Craig home on Monday, March 10, 2025; beloved husband of Faith(Lamb) Wolfley; son of Esther “Hoopy” and the late Ronald Wolfley; loving father of Megan(Kyle) Nicholson, Kyle(Danessa) Wolfley, Craig “CJ” Wolfley, Maximos Wolfley, Esther Wolfley and Hannah Wolfley; cherished grandfather of Braedon, Averie, Eli, Lyla, Kolson and Lydia; brother of Linrae(George) Ellis, Ronald(Stephanie) Wolfley, Joy Blue and the late Dale(survived by his wife, Kathleen) Wolfley; son in law of Barbara and the late Floyd Lamb; brother in law of Elizabeth(William) Townsend, Frederick(Carolyn) Lamb and Christina Plumtree; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Craig Wolfley was a 12-year NFL veteran. He played 10 years with the Pittsburgh Steelers and 2 years with the Minnesota Vikings. He was a member of the Steeler’s All-Century Team, Syracuse University 20th Century All-Star Team and Greater Buffalo Sports Hall-of-Fame. He competed in the World’s Strongest Man and the NFL Strongest Man Contests and had a black belt in Freestyle Jiu Jitsu with over 40 years of martial arts training. He and his wife, Faith, owned and operated the Martial Arts and Sports Complex in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania for over 20 years.
Craig was originally from Orchard Park, New York and attended Syracuse University before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1980. At his time of passing, he was the color analyst for the Pittsburgh Steelers Radio Broadcast team and co-host of In the Locker Room with Wolf & Starks.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 at Paul Henney Funeral Home, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park, PA. Funeral services will be held at The Bible Chapel, 300 Gallery Drive, McMurray, PA 15317(Everyone please meet at church).
