Deacon James Kenny

Of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at age 81; beloved husband of 40 years to Nancy (Beuter) Kenny; loving father of Kathleen(Jeffrey) Mohr and James A. Kenny; cherished grandfather of Hannah Thomas, DVM(Chad), Michaela Libell, Rebecca Cox(Coltin) and Joshua Libell, MMN3 Navy; great grandfather of Thomas J. Cox; brother of the late Patricia Hahn(Jack); brother in law of William Beuter; also survived by nieces, nephews and extended Duman family. Jim was a Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War, he graduated from Pitt in 1974 with a degree in Admin of Justice.  He was ordained in 1999 as a Deacon.  He was assigned to St. Germaine’s Church and a Chaplain at Department of Corrections, Green County, Maximum Security.  Family and friends will be received Friday, April 5th from 2-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, April 6th, 10 AM at Our Lady of Hope Parish/St. Germaine Church, 7003 Baptist Rd., Bethel Park (Everyone Please Meet At Church). Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery with Military Honors.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to St. Germaine Church, 7003 Baptist Rd., Bethel Park, PA 15102 or MS Society of Pittsburgh, 1501 Reedsdale St. #105, Pittsburgh, PA 15233,  http://www.nationalmssociety.org
