Donald R. Markely

Age 85; of Bethel Park, formerly of Washington, PA: passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, after a long fight with Parkinsons. Son of the late Joseph and Anna(Sharik) Markely; beloved husband of 63 years to Nancy(Eustis) Markely; loving father of Richard(Melissa) Markely and Pamela(Jeffrey) Podlogar; grandfather of Craig Markely, Tim Markely,  Kevin Markely, Jessica Podlogar and Ryan Podlogar; brother of the late Joseph Markely; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Don was an Army Veteran who retired from US Steel after 30 years of service.  After retirement he was the owner of Bethel Park Transmissions for over 20 years. Family and friends will be received Friday, March 29th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd. Bethel Park, PA where funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30th, 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to charity of your choice or St. Jude Research Hospital.http://www.stjude.org
