Age 58, of Bethel Park; passed away peacefully on Friday, November 20, 2020 with his family by his side. Proceeded in death by his parents, Harold and Sarah Meeks. Survived by his brothers; Dan (Dorothy) Meeks, David Meeks, Richard (Ramona) Meeks, and sisters; Sarah (Charles) Costello, Mary Jane (George) Smitley, Elizabeth (Thomas) Benyo and Martha (Adel) Shoeib, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.  For the past 15 years, Douglas traveled coast to coast driving for Werner Enterprises.  He loved his truck and received many awards including the “One Million Miles” safety award which he was most proud of. Douglas lived an adventurous life, and always lived life to the fullest. He was a loyal Steeler fan, enjoyed karaoke, appreciated home cooked meals, and loved to tell jokes, even if they were bad ones.  The family is grateful to his life long friends who Doug considered his second family, for the love and support they showed him.   Family and friends will be received Tuesday, November 24th from 5-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park.  Interment will be with family in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Donations in his memory can be made to Make- A- Wish Foundation or Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
