Of Bethel Park, age 94,  passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2020; son of the late Joe and Marie Emmett;  loving husband of 62 years to June(Riley) Emmett; loving father of Dan(Janet) and Ed(Karen) Emmett; cherished grandfather of Kevin(Cindy) Emmett and Katie Emmett,  Kelly(Vincent) Camps, Patrick(Emily) Emmett and Kasey Emmett; great grandfather of Edward Joseph Emmett; brother of Bob(Pat) Emmett, the late Joe(the late Loretta) Emmett  and the late Nancy( the James) Gregg, brother in law of Eileen(the late Jim) Rush, Don(the late Agnes) Riley and the late Dorothy(the late Harry) Kinters; Ed graduated from Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh. He earned a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.  He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII as a Private First Class.  Ed spent 27 years as a credit manager with Greybar and General Electric in Pittsburgh & Denver, CO; he spent 12 years as an Independent Manufacturers Rep in The Photo and Framing Industries. Ed spent his last thirty years in retirement with his wife June in Surfside Beach, SC. They enjoyed going to the beach with friends and family. Ed was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the men’s league at Raccoon Run Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was an active member of the St. Michael’s Parish in Surfside Beach and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  The family would like to thank the staff at St. Clair Hospital who took care of him the last three weeks of his life when family could not visit him.  Also a thank you to the staff of the Sheridan of Bethel Park Assisted Living Center where he has resided the last 1 ½ years of his life.   In his memory donations can be made to Catholic Charities, 212  9th St. Pittsburgh, PA 15222 A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements handled by Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, Bethel Park.
