Of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021.  Beloved husband of the late Dolores “Dee” Barber; loving father of Cynthia (Michael) Happe, Sandra Barber, Ernest C. (Eliza “Peng”) Barber and Karen Gordon; proud grandfather of Ryan, Kevin (Cassi), Daniel (Brittany) & Nicole Happe, Eric and Ernie Barber; great-grandfather of Maya Rosenwald, Gus, Dinah, Emmy, Asher, & Bennet Happe and Rio Lonzo Happe Clark; brother of Vincent (Elyse) Alario.  He is also survived by his long-time companion, Regina Friel.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Andrew Barber and Louise Ratti.  Ernest served in the USMC and was a retired salesman at Duquesne Slag.  He enjoyed watching and following horse racing.  Services will be private, handled by Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, Bethel Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
