Age 94, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Ann C Gerber, loving father of Diane Gerber, Cindy(James) Wilson, Blaine(Liz King) Gerber, Jeannie(Tom) Obringer, cherished grandfather of Zachary(Carrie Bailes) and Jordan Gerber, Andrew and Eric Obringer and Monica Wilson. His story is about love of family, and he was an extremely proud and talented man.  He served in the US Army Signal Corp during WWII. Gene graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and spent his career at US Steel in the Art Department.  Gene loved to travel, family beach vacations, working in his yard, sailing and flying small aircraft. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Arden Courts of Jefferson Hills.  Family and friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 10 AM at Our Lady of Hope Parish/St. Valentine Church, Bethel Park.  Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery with Military Honors.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org or Charity of Your Choice.
