Age 90, of Katy, TX, formerly of Castle Shannon passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.  Beloved wife of the late Robert A. Walters; loving mother of Robert J. Walters (Karen) of Katy, TX, David Walters of Bethel Park and Karen Borland of Harpers Ferry, WV; proud grandmother of Dylan Borland of Harpers Ferry, WV, Lisa Bobak (Mike) of Castle Shannon and Kendall Barrientos (Anthony) of Katy, TX; great-grandmother of Kenlee Barrientos and Hartlee Barrientos of Katy, TX, and Heath Bobak and Sabrina Bobak of Castle Shannon.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Roy Horne.  Evelyn graduated from Michigan State University and had a long career as an elementary teacher.  She taught in the Panama Canal Zone, Lake Forest, IL and Pittsburgh Keystone Oaks.  She enjoyed reading, Caribbean cruises, collecting seashells, and jigsaw puzzles.  She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and West Virginia University Mountaineers.  Some of her most treasured memories were the decades of summer vacations at Atlantic Beach, N.C.  Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 20 from 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd. Bethel Park.  Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 21, 11 AM at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org
