Grace Lydia Skladany

September 19, 1932 – March 10, 2025

Grace Lydia Skladany passed peacefully surrounded by friends and family at Halcyon of Bridgeville, Penn. on the morning of March 10, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Skladany, Sr. 

Grace is survived by six children and their significant others: John & Grace (Skladany) Stover, Thomas Skladany Jr., Deborah (Coburn) Skladany, Carol (Skladany) Waite, Michael Skladany, Joseph & Robin Skladany, and James and Christine (Anders) Skladany. 

She was also the cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren and their significant others. Among them are William & Renee (Carbonara) Fritz, Fasari & Erica (Carbonara) Burgess, Stefano Carbonara, Marcus & Erin (Skladany) Washington, Christopher & Karlyn (Skladany) Kirkpatrick, Matthew & Shawn (Skladany) Sherry, Joshua & Camryn (Skladany) Mastel, Joseph Skladany Jr., and Christos & Sami (Skladany) Gikas. 

Her memory lives on through fourteen great-grandchildren, as well, including William & Jacob Fritz, Gianni & Isabella Carbonara, Jordann & Mia Burgess, Amaya & Jace Washington, Nash Kirkpatrick, Blake, Chase & Dylan Sherry, and Mila & Roman Mastel. 

Those who knew Grace will remember her trademark laugh, devotion to family, and impeccable cooking, from pierogi to chocolate chip cookies. No matter the home, her door was always open, and she was often the “queen bee” of any social gathering. She was also fond of gardening, handwritten notes, scrapbooking, and cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.

Services are open to all family and friends and will be held on Friday, March 14th at 1:00pm at Henney Funeral Home, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102 with burial immediately after the service at Jefferson Memorial.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Halcyon of Bridgeville in her name dedicated to the purchase of a garden memorial.
