Irma C. (Schumacher) Churchill

Irma Caroline Churchill, age 98, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2021. She was born February 17, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA to Albert and Rose Marie Schumacher. She married Robert Carl Churchill February 23, 1946, who preceded her in death in 2009.

Irma is survived by son and wife Robert Michael and Dorcas Churchill; granddaughters Kristin and Sarah Churchill, loving pet Kody; plus, many nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Illinois and California.

Irma worked at Duquesne Electric in the 1940’s and served for 15 years at Bethel Park Schools as a food service worker serving the students. She was an active member of St. Germaine’s Church for many years and served in the Lady’s Guild.

Irma loved to bake, especially ‘Christmas cookies’, which consisted of over 12 recipes and over 1000 delicious cookies lovingly delivered every year at Christmas.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday, June 4th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, June 5th at 10 AM,  St. Germaine’s Church with burial to follow at Queen of Heaven cemetery.
