James Mahoney Obituary

James P. Mahoney

It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of James Mahoney, of Peters Twp., age 46; on Friday, March 20, 2026. A truly remarkable man whose life was defined by generosity, determination, and an unwavering devotion to his family.

A true entrepreneur at heart, he built and led many businesses throughout his life, always driven by vision, resilience, and a belief that anything was possible. Whatever he set his mind to, he made happen, not just through hard work, but through passion and with unshakable confidence that inspired everyone around him.

Above all else, family was everything to him. It was the center of his world, the reason behind everything he did, and the place where his heart always belonged. More than his accomplishments, he will be remembered as a man who took care of everyone. He gave freely of his time, his energy, and his love, always putting others before himself. His kindness knew no bounds, and his presence made people feel safe, supported, and valued.

He was, without question, the best father of Mason James Mahoney and Mackenzie Paige Mahoney on this planet! He was loving, present, and endlessly proud. His children were his greatest joy, and he poured his heart into every moment with them, creating a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, guidance, and unconditional love.

He had the most beautiful smile and a laugh that was truly contagious, lighting up every room he entered and bringing joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit was magnetic, his heart was immense, and his legacy will live on in every life he touched.

To his wife, Alena, he was more than a husband, he was the love of her life and her soulmate. Their bond was unbreakable, built on deep love, trust, and partnership. He was her greatest support, her safe place, and her forever. The life they built together was filled with love, laughter, and a connection that will never fade. Though he is no longer by her side, he will always live in her heart, guiding her and loving her in spirit every day.

Though he is no longer with us, his love surrounds us still. We will carry him in our hearts forever.

Loving son of Stephen (Judy) Mahoney and Nancy (Stanley ”Butch”) Kokocinski; brother of Megan (Patrick) Flood, John (Branna) Mahoney, and Walter Mahoney; son in law of Pamela Smith (Eddie) and Jeffrey Chetoka; brother in law of Amanda (Ron) Sarver; uncle of Kyleigh, Hailey, Logan, Julianna, and Colton.

Forever loved. Forever missed.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday 1-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park where a blessing service will be held Thursday, 11 AM.
