James Thomas Mulhair
Age 81, of Bridgeville, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away on February 16, 2022. Jim was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Thomas and Myra (Bradshaw) Mulhair, and older brother to Kathleen. He attended St. Joe’s high school where he played football. He entered the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17. His assignments took him from basic training in Parris, Island SC to the American Embassy in Warsaw, Poland. After discharge, he attended Notre Dame on NROTC scholarship before leaving to marry his high-school sweetheart, the love of his life, the late Judith Mulhair (Radachy). They were married for 57 years, and together they built quite a legacy. He was a loving father to Anne Marie (Jerry) Kopach, Michael (Kathy) Mulhair, Kevin (Maria) Mulhair and Colleen (Rajal) Patel; proud grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of three! Jim and Judy relocated to Pittsburgh in 1965 where James finished his schooling at the University of Pittsburgh and received his MBA at Duquesne University. He had an extensive accounting career, spending decades as a controller for several companies, most notably with the company that he retired from which is now known as Total Wine and More. The Super Bowl Steelers of the 70’s made him a quick convert from the Browns and he was an avid fan for many decades. When he wasn’t on the golf course or cheering on Notre Dame he could usually be found in the stands or on the sidelines at his children and grandchildren’s activities from soccer to dance, basketball, football, baseball, hockey and more. And of course, always cheering the family on in Turkey Bowl. He enjoyed his golf league at Scenic Valley with the Over 60 League. He was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, an uncle, a colleague, and a loving caregiver for many years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A gathering will be held on Sunday, February 27th at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, Bethel Park, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Where a memorial service will be held on Monday, February 28th, 11:30 AM. Burial at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies with military honors will follow immediately after the service.
