James Naman Obituary

James Naman, 84, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, a day that also marked his birthday. Born on June 14, 1942, James lived a life defined by quiet dedication, restless energy, and a gentle creative spirit that few were privileged to glimpse.

James was a man who was never still. Whether he was washing his car until it gleamed, pushing a mower across a freshly cut lawn, or heading out before dawn with a fishing rod or hunting gear in hand, he found deep satisfaction in the work of his hands and the rhythms of the outdoors. In his younger years, hunting and fishing were more than hobbies, they were a way of life, connecting him to the land and the seasons in ways that stayed with him always.

Few knew that behind that tireless, practical exterior lived an artist. James created quietly and privately, never seeking recognition or an audience. His art was his own, a hidden dimension of a man who carried more depth than he often let on.

James was devoted above all to his family. He shared 60 beautiful years with his beloved wife, Barbara, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his three children, Richard (Deidra) Naman, Sherry Bennett (Rob Quigg), and Michael Naman; his five grandchildren, Meghan Balsley, Amanda Fletcher (Ethan Leavens), Brandon Bennett (Jenna), Kristy Bennett (Kalil Masters), and Jacob Naman; and his three great-grandchildren, Caden, Claire, and Charlotte Fletcher.

A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date.
