Of Bethel Park; age 94; passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 29, 2021; beloved husband of the late Patricia J.; loving father of Jeffrey M. (Lynn) Tate, Jay (Tammy) Tate and the late Gregory R. Tate (surviving wife, LuAnn) Tate; grandfather of Caitlin Tate and Callie Martin; brother of Gary Tate, Laura McClory the late Richard Tate and Patricia Dawson.  Jim was a WWII Navy Veteran, he retired after 40 years from the P&LE Railroad; he was a standing member of the VFW, McMurray and the American Legion, Bethel Park/Murrells Inlet, SC.  Family and friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd. where a blessing service will be held Wednesday, 11:30 AM.  Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies with full Military Honors.
