Jane Bean

Jane Bean, 74, of South Park, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, with her husband John by her side.

She was born on April 19, 1949, to the late Nathan and Vivian (Burdick) DeSantis.

Jane is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John (Rick) Bean Sr.; three children, Joelle (Dennis) Dixon, John (Erin) Bean Jr., and Christine (Allen) Rowing; and grandchildren, Jake, Alexandra, Jack Dixon, (the late Emma), Peyton and Morgan Bean, Lucy, Jack, and Grace Rowing. Also surviving are her siblings, Patricia (the late Bill) Hurd and William (Susan) DeSantis, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her granddaughter Emma, who she is now reunited with in heaven. 

Jane was a graduate with a Master’s degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh and retired from a distinguished career at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

She was an avid long-distance runner, having run several marathons. She had a passion for travelling, especially to the beach. She loved making special moments and memories with her grandkids.

Friends and family will gather at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1:00-6:00pm. A blessing service will be offered at the funeral home on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 4:30pm.
