Janet I (Traynor) Ghise

Of Bethel Park, age 80; passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 26, 2023; daughter of the late Adrian J. and Clara H. Traynor; beloved wife of the late Cornell Ghise; loving mother of Janelle(Peter) Psihas and Eric(Robin) Ghise; cherished grandmother of Ryan, Erin, Meghan Ghise and Andrew Psihas; sister of Deborah L. (Vincent L.) Conti and the late Thomas A. (surviving his wife Sharen K.) Traynor; also survived by her loving dog companion, Chloe, and many nieces and nephews.  Janet was a graduate of Dormont High School where she earned a full academic scholarship to The University of Pittsburgh. She was a proud graduate of Pitt where she earned a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish.  She was an Elementary Teacher in Upper St. Clair School District and Shaker Heights Ohio before devoting her time to raising her children. Later she followed her husband into business to become the financial officer for Ghise Associates Inc.  In her free time, she enjoyed reading and making crafts. Janet was active in tennis, snow skiing and spent many summers in Lake Chemung, MI.  She loved entertaining at her home and traveling with her husband and friends.  Family and friends will be received Tuesday, January 2nd from 2-4 & 6-8 at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 3rd, 11 AM at Ruthfred Lutheran Church.(Everyone meet at church) Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.  Donations in her memory can be made to Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Rd., Bethel Park, PA 15102.
