Of Bethel Park, formerly of Washington, DC; age 71; passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024; beloved wife of nearly 45 years to Carolyn Hinson; loving father of Kirsten Leonard of San Antonio, TX, Sawyer(Venice) Hinson of San Antonio, TX and Haley Hinson of Plum, PA; cherished grandfather of Ivy Rose Leonard and Dominic John Hinson.  John's determination to reach further than his parents led him to law school where he enjoyed practicing law for many years.  Services are private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Hillcrest Heights Boxing Club, Attn: Bobby Magruder, 4108 23rd Parkway, Hillcrest Heights, MD 20748.
