In Loving Memory of John Michael Pateras

John Michael Pateras, 73, of  Upper St. Clair, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 30, 1952, John lived a life defined by love, generosity, hard work, and an unwavering devotion to the people he cared for most.

John was married to the love of his life, Chrissy Pateras, for just shy of 50 years. Together, they built a life and a family filled with love, memories, and devotion. He was a beloved father to his daughter, Lenna Fastuca, and son-in-law, Mike Fastuca.

John was the kind of man who always put others before himself. He was, without a doubt, one of the most selfless people anyone could ever know. He gave freely of his time, his heart, and whatever he had to offer. Supporting and caring for his family was one of the greatest joys of his life, and he worked tirelessly to provide for and protect those he loved.

John was the proud owner of QSC Painting, a business that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. But while his work was important to him, his greatest accomplishment was the love he gave to his family.

Outside of work, John enjoyed baseball and loved going to the movies. Yet it was often the simple moments—being with the people he loved, helping someone who needed him, or simply spending time with his family—that brought him the most happiness.

John was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Eleni, father Michael, and his brothers, George and Pete. He is survived by his devoted wife, Chrissy; his daughter, Lenna, and son-in-law, Mike; his brother, Angelo (Eileen); his sister, Ephremia; his sister-in-laws; niece and nephews, along with many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know him.

John leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured by possessions or accomplishments, but by the countless lives he touched through his kindness, generosity, and unconditional love. His family will forever carry the lessons he taught them—to put others first, to work hard, to love deeply, and to always be there for the people who matter most.

He will be deeply missed, but the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 3-8PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park. Burial will be private.
