John L. Walker
Age 101, Of Bethel Park, formerly of Upper St. Clair; surrounded by family during his final days, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024; beloved husband of 73 years to the late Jinny(Gault) Walker; Family was most important to John. loving father of Rebecca(Sandy) Plotner, Kenneth Walker, Robert "Luke" (Amy) Walkerand the late John “Jack” Walker, Jr.(surviving his wife, Roxanne); brother of the late Joe, Paul and Tom Walker; grandfather of Lindsay(Joe) Senge, Aly Walker, Ben Walker, Luke Walker, Leslie(John) Ford, Chris(Becca) Walker, Jeff(Courtney) Plotner and Brian Plotner; great grandfather of Max, Brooklyn and Bodie Senge, Lily and Phin Ford, Tela Walker, Judson, Barnes and Tucker Plotner.; also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews. John was a proud graduate of Penn State and former President and member of the PSU Agricultural Advisory Council. John started working after graduation by running the Washington County family farm and then was the Clarion County Agricultural Extension agent for 10 years. He had a long and successful career in upper-Level Management with MMI (Milk Marketing Inc.) He loved being on the farm. He was always working outside and went back to some farming in retirement. John was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 10 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
