Judith Ann Bucher

Judith Ann Bucher (Schuler), age 83, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, sadly left us on November 7th, 2022.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Schuler and father, Elmer Schuler.

She is survived by her children, Jack Bucher, Todd Bucher, Matt Bucher, Jennifer Engle, Beth Malone; the grandchildren she adored Sarah Bucher, Meghan Bucher, Jason Engle, Jamie Engle, Nick Bucher, Ryan Bucher, Katrina Bucher; her ex-husbands John Bucher and Robert Sobek; her siblings Barbara Gilmore, Steven Schuler, Mary Monson, Greg Schuler, Virginia Clark.

Judy was born in Louisville, Kentucky.

She proudly graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (after attending many night classes) with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Master of Business Administration.

Judy worked as a Data Analyst for Data Resources Inc. (DRI) and Assistant Vice President for Mellon Bank. She loved her work so much she un-retired twice. She also volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels and Peters Township Public Library.

She was a beautiful person who spread joy and wisdom to many in Bethel Park. Her children appreciated her fortitude and felt fortunate to have a positive, uplifting role model. She never met a stranger, giving a smile or helping hands to all. A clever humorist and practical joker, who was the life of the party sharing comical ancedotes. Judy was a vivacious woman as an early woman's lib advocate, Cub scout denmother, with a lifelong love of reading and international travels. She enjoyed playing tennis and was a regular player during the '70s at the South Park tennis courts. 

To honor Judy’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life on November 25th from 6 to 8 pm at Paul Henney Funeral Home in Bethel Park. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and remember her wonderful life. (Attendees are welcomed to wear tennis, disco dancing, or Fourth of July outfits to reflect the many joys of her life.) In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels.
