Kara E Holmes

Kara (Meidenbauer) Holmes (Age 52) of South Park fought hard against cancer but succumbed to it on June 12, 2022.

She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends. Her kind soul, generous spirit, and chocolate chip cookies will be missed by all who knew her.

Kara is survived by her sons, Benjamin and Luke, who were her pride and joy.  Her parents, Michael and Donna Meidenbauer.  Her siblings/in-laws, Britt and Bonnie Sippel-Meidenbauer, Adam and Maureen Meidenbauer, Beth and Dominick Macioge.  Her nieces and nephews, Patrick (Nicole), Colleen, Aidan, Alysse, Camille and Brendan. Also survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins and former husband, Mike Holmes. All of whom loved her beyond measure.

Kara’s cherished her friendships from throughout her life. Those from Bethel Park High School, her UPJ Omega Alpha Tau sorority sisters, each of the jobs that she had, and her book clubs.

Her family would like to thank the team on 7West of Shadyside Hospital for taking care of her these last few months.  And her employers Hayes Design Group and South Park Library for their understanding during her illness.

Service will be private with a Celebration of Life this summer.  For those who would like to honor Kara’s memory, her family suggests a book donation to your local library.
