Karen Scott Marek

Of Bethel Park; age 77; passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024; daughter of the late James & Erda Scott;  beloved wife of 53 ½ years to Martin; loving mother of Jim(Marie Fe);  dear friend of Kay Giuliano; Karen was a graduate with a double degree in Spanish and French from Bethany College, she worked for many years in the Nursery School at Lois Johnson on Brightwood Rd and taught at St. Canice Catholic School, Knoxville; she was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and made Linus Blankets that provide comfort to people.  Family and friends will be received Sunday from 6-8 PM and Monday from 10 -12 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park where a service be held Monday, 12 PM. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.  Donations in her memory can be made to the Salvation Army/Hurricane Helene Relief Fund, http://give.salvationarmyusa.org
