Kathryn D. Giannakopoulos

Kathryn D. Giannakopoulos, 81, of Bethel Park, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024.

She was born on July 22, 1943, to the late Lambros and Elizabeth (Cummings) Giannakopoulos in DuBois, Pennsylvania.

Kat was a schoolteacher and retired from her career at Frick School in Pittsburgh, where she made and leaves behind many amazing friendships.

She was up for anything fun and loved adventure. She was an avid reader and loved old movies, even silent and black & white films.

Kat was a special friend to anyone who had the honor of meeting her and left a lasting imprint on the hearts of those who truly knew her.

She is survived by her brother Thomas Poulos, and her dearest friend & caretaker Cindy Inverso and her family, as well as her beloved cat, Magic.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 10:00 am at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her honor to the Bethel Park Library or the Humane Society.
