Larry Harden
Age 80 of Bethel Park; passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bonnie (Grega) Harden; father of Larry (Denise) Harden, Deborah (Dan) Loper, Sharon (Michael) Bickel and Bradley Harden; grandfather of John and James Loper, Sydney and Kira Bickel; brother-in-law of Robert (Jackie Shoener) Grega; uncle of Rob, Dan, Pete, Emily, Melody and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dorothy Harden; and his brother, Doug. Larry grew up in Atlanta, GA, spending a lot of time with his loving grandparents, Luther & Eufa Harper. He was a 1962 graduate of Bethel Park High School. Larry began his career with Edison Brothers shoe stores until 1978, and continued in car sales until his retirement in 2011. He was a devoted fan of Pittsburgh sports, loved the classic rock and motown music of his youth, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Following a struggle with pulmonary fibrosis, Larry was fortunate to be gifted a second chance at life. He received a double lung transplant at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in 2012. We are beyond grateful for the doctors, nurses, therapists, and everyone who provided him excellent care for 12 years. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 18 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 7:30 PM.
