Leo Gregory "Greg" White

Leo Gregory “Greg” White, 73, of Fox Chapel, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 8, 1951, to the late Leo and Madeline White.

Greg was known for his brilliance, his service to others, his passion for sports, and his sense of humor. He proudly attended The University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1972 and received his Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies. He went on to become a teacher at schools in Beaver Creek and the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. Afterwards, he returned to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he continued to educate through tutoring and remained involved with community sports, playing, coaching, and refereeing well into his later years. 

Gregory is survived by two children; David (Jessica) White and Alisha (Luke) Wetzel; two granddaughters; Kyla and Ayla Wetzel;

his former spouses Barbara Jackson and Peggy Davin White; siblings, Michael (Margie) Bianca, Kathy (Tony) Moran, Jeffrey (Lesley) White,

and David (Kristen) White; as well as several nieces and nephews. Greg will be fondly remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and brother and will be missed deeply. 

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 18th, 2025, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in O’Hara Township, 342 Dorseyville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215.
