Linda L. Kaufman, 80, of Bethel Park, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in Pittsburgh.
She was born in Erie, on August 10, 1944, to the late Robert J. And M. Jacquelyn (Rowan) Kern.
Linda graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her bachelor's degree in education. She was part of the original staff at Jay Neff Middle School and then went on to teach for Keystone Oaks School District for 34 years before retiring. Linda was also an instructor for Weight Watchers for several years.
Linda was a survivor and endured 21 years of fighting against Multiple Myeloma. She never gave up and spent many years advocating for herself and studying her diagnosis.
She is known as the devoted wife to Kenneth L. Kaufman; loving mother to her son, Keith Kaufman; and caring sister to Judith E. (Nicholas) Bailey-Pallotto and Robert D. Kern. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as 5 cats who she loved dearly.
Preceding Linda in death along with her parents is a brother, Richard R. Kern, and Muriel "Mom Mom" Rowan, her very special grandmother.
Linda's wishes will be honored with a private interment at Penn Forest Natural Burial Park in Verona, Pennsylvania.
