Louisa A. Abel

Louisa A. Abel, 94, of Bethel Park, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

She was born on October 16, 1930, in Pittsburgh, to the late John and Elizabeth (Toomey) Chiappetta.

Loving mother to Carl (Sandi) Roberto, Daneen Roberto, and Dennis (Janet) Roberto; grandma to Elizabeth (James), Angela (Donald), Jessica (Cullen), Vincent, Lucian, Sebastian, Blaise, and Cecilia; great grandma to James, Evelyn, Isabella, Sofia, Olivia, and Luke; and sister to Anthony Chiappetta.

Louisa is preceded in death by her first husband Eugene Roberto, who passed in 1970, and second husband Gilbert Abel, who passed in 2010; three children, Eugene (surviving, Evelyn), Lisa, and Elizabeth Roberto; and siblings, John Chiappetta, Elizabeth Plakidos, and Anna Lee Bianco.

Louisa was a woman of faith and used prayer to guide her through life. She belonged to St. Valentine Church – Our Lady of Hope Parish, Bethel Park, where a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11a.m. Please meet at church.
