Lynn Alberta Angelelli (George), 80, of Bethel Park was welcomed into heaven on January 3, 2025, when she passed peacefully surrounded by family. Lynn is survived by her husband Roger of 59 years, children Michael (Katie) Angelelli, Susan (Joshua) Whitcraft, and Joseph (Isabela) Angelelli, as well three beloved grandchildren David Angelelli, Josefina Whitcraft, and Santiago Angelelli. Born and raised as the youngest of three daughters in Bentleyville, PA to parents Jim and Alberta “Birdie” George with sisters Madge (Stan) Marazsky and Gail (Alex) Lese. Lynn graduated from California State College in 1965 with a degree in mathematics. She met Roger in the play The Crucible at Cal State as members of the College Players. Lynn won Actress of the Year in 1965 for her role in John Brown’s Body. She taught high school in West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Bethel Park while caring for her young children in the early 1970s. Lynn then worked in downtown Pittsburgh for 30 years (commuting by trolley everyday from Bethel Park) as a senior computer analyst at Consol, Highmark and PNC Bank. Lynn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose smile and positive outlook on life always lit up a room. Lynn’s first passion in life was her art. Her distinctive painting style evolved over time and was recognized with blue ribbons in local art shows spanning decades, from the 1969 Allegheny County Fair and the Three Rivers Arts Festival the same year to the 2014 Pittsburgh Watercolor Society’s Aqueous Open. In retirement, Lynn loved teaching others to paint silk scarves with the Bethel Park Art League and volunteering as a member of Christ United Methodist Church. In her final years living with dementia, Lynn continued to express her love while teaching others the art of living in the moment. Her kind heart and passion for life will remain with her family and friends forever. A Memorial Service will take place at Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, Bethel Park, on Saturday, January 18 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church. https://christumcbp.shelbynextchms.com/external/form/86dd44b8-e9a7-4c6d-987e-8f5c0bb7bc82
