Margaret “Peggy” (Gillespie) Phillips

A few months shy of her 98th birthday, Peggy passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. 

In spite of living in Bethel Park for nearly 60 years, she still considered herself a native of Dormont.  Peggy graduated from Dormont High School in 1946.  Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Bill Phillips, loving mother of Rob (Brandi) and Meghan.  Proud grandmother and roommate of Gavin Wagenheim, and proud grandmother of Bailee Wagenheim.  Youngest of five siblings, who preceded her in death: Artie, Hugo, Maureen Sims, and Bobby Gillespie.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and she will be best remembered for her spunk, spirit and sass.

Friends and Family  will be received Thursday, September 18th between 3-8pm at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park (Corner of Brightwood and Rt 88).  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, September 19th at 10:30 am at St. Louise de Marillac Church, Upper St. Clair.  Internment will follow at Queen of Heaven cemetery.
