Marilyn L. Anderson, 80, of South Park, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, June 12, 2023.
A daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Wolfe) Langenbacher, she was born on December 16, 1942. Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband, Arthur, with whom she shared 57 years; her children, David (Kristin) Anderson and Catherine (Terry) Salay; grandchildren, Luke (Courtney) Anderson and Grace Anderson, and McKenna Salay and Kingston Salay; as well as a great grandchild, Hudson Anderson.
She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a teaching degree in Elementary Education and worked for the Baldwin School District. Marilyn left this profession, as she wanted to devote her life to raising her children. Later, she embarked on many different careers: Bank Manager, Director of Volunteer Services at the Carnegie Science Center, and Creative Arts Director at The South Hills Church of the Nazarene.
She positively influenced the lives of others by sharing her Faith in Jesus Christ in her church and in her community.
Family and Friends will gather at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park, on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, at South Hills Church of the Nazarene, 5601 Library Road, Bethel Park, at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
