Mary “Arlene” Losak, 71, of Finleyville, formerly of Bethel Park and Brookline, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
She was born on February 28, 1954, to the late Joseph and Rita (Garrity) Dirling, in Pittsburgh.
Arlene was the loving wife to Michael J. Losak for 44 years; sister to Edward (Kathy) Dirling; sister-in-law to John (Ann) Losak, Janice (Wayne) Shrewsbury, Thomas (Lynn) Losak, and Debora (Larry) Jester; and beloved aunt to many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Arlene is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and her beloved Aunt Marie Garrity.
Catholic by faith, religion was very important in her life. She was very involved with St. Joan of Arc’s Life Enrichment Program.
Arlene was employed by Highmark in their membership department as a group leader. She earned her retirement after 35 years of service.
Her passions were sports and music. Arlene loved all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins, where her and her husband were season ticket holders for over 30 years. She also loved her pets dearly.
Arlene loved being with her friends and family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8pm, at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Francis of Assisi Church-St. John XXIII Parish, 3609 Washington Ave, Finleyville 15332, at 10 am, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
