Melissa C Gierlack

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Melissa C. Gierlack, of Mount Lebanon who left us on January 31, 2025 at the age of 52. She was the cherished wife and soulmate of Ronald S. Gierlack II for over 32 years, a caring wife, daughter, sister, cousin, friend, and a true source of love and light to all who knew her.

Melissa was a woman of grace, compassion, and unwavering devotion. To her family, she was a source beauty in their world, always there with a warm smile, a comforting word, a helping hand, and a heart full of unconditional love. She gave so much of herself to those around her, and her selflessness touched the lives of everyone she met.

She was also a woman who embraced life despite her Lupus with a quiet strength, facing challenges with courage and resilience. Her kindness, humility, and ability to bring comfort to others will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Melissa is survived by her loving husband and forever soulmate, Ronald S. Gierlack, II: loving daughter of Ronald(Mary Ann) Kragnes and Lillian “Jackie” Kragnes; sister of Ronnie Kragnes, Jena(Matthew)Simmons, Ryan(Alison) Kragnes and Lewis Misinay; daughter in law of Bonita and the late Ronald S. Gierlack; sister in law of Steve(Ashley) Gierlack and Chris(Jennifer) Gierlack; also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Melissa was a graduate of Robert Morris.

Family and friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park where funeral services will be held Friday, 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in the chapel at Forest Lawn Gardens, 3739 Washington Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317.

She may no longer walk among us, but the love and warmth she shared will remain forever in our hearts.
