Mildred Renner Pfeifer
Mildred Renner Pfeifer, 88, Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Mildred was born on April 14, 1934 in Ballston Spa, New York, to Franklin Voss Renner and Lillian Gregory Belton. Mildred grew up in Glenside, PA, while enjoying summers at the family farm in upstate New York to escape the hot Philadelphia area summers. She enjoyed sports and earned a field hockey scholarship to Chestnut Hill College from where she graduated in 1955. Mildred married Charles Joseph Pfeifer, on June 22, 1957. They lived most of their married life in Bethel Park, PA, where they served in their local parish (St. Valentine’s) and were involved in various community and political activities.
Mildred is survived by her four children: Anne Pfeifer Smith (Jon), New Harmony, Utah; Michael Stephen Pfeifer (Moira), Springboro, Ohio; Mathew James Pfeifer (Marja), Highland Village, Texas; and David Franklyn Pfeifer (Robin), Canyon Lake, Texas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents Franklyn and Lillian Renner, her husband Charles Pfeifer, and her brother Robert Renner.
The viewings for family and friends will be held on Wednesday ,November 16, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park, PA.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 8:30am at Our Lady of Hope Parish (St. Valentine Church), 2710 Ohio Street, Bethel Park, PA.
Burial will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 10:00am at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville (Cecil), PA.
