Mildred "Millie" McGeary

Mildred (Millie) McGeary, 95, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Millie was born on January 10, 1929, to the late Mary (Capan) and Michael Karaica. 

Millie was a loving wife to her husband, Donald F. McGeary, who passed away on July 18, 2008. They are survived by their daughter, Patricia (Buzz) Thropp. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Shelly (Ben Bird) Thropp and Carey (Matt) Mihal as well as two great grandchildren, Kinsey and Ian Mihal. Her best friend and partner-in-crime sister Evelyn (Evie) Selinsky preceded her in death in 2021. Millie's extended family includes all her loving nieces and nephew.

A special thanks to Allegheny Health Network Hospice care team and Friends Bonnie and Tess who provided comfort and support, easing Millie's journey with compassion and kindness. To them, her family extends a heartfelt thanks for their unwavering care and dedication.

Visiting hours will be held at Paul Henney Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Bethel Park, on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm, at which time a Blessing Service will take place.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Millie's name can be made to the Humane Society. Also, at Millie's request burial will be private.
