Norris J. Myers, 78, of Bethel Park, PA, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024. She was the cherished companion of Bernie Baxter, and the beloved mother of Matthew (Kaltrina) and Jason (Molly) Carney. Norris was a proud and devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren: Trevor, Ben, Will, Victoria, and Arber Carney, who adored her deeply. She is also survived by her loving brother, Jerry Hamlett, and her niece, Serenity Hamlett.

Norris dedicated over three decades of her life to nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher in the Bethel Park School District. Her influence reached far beyond the classroom, as former students often approached her to express their gratitude for the profound impact she had on their lives. She carried a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace in nature and joy in long walks, often accompanied by family and friends. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her grandchildren defined her, as she consistently fostered meaningful, lasting relationships with them.

A celebration of Norris’s life will be held on Saturday, October 19th, family and friends will be received from 11 AM  - 12 pm and a service will begin at 12PM at Paul Henney Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park, PA (www.christumc.net/give),   a community close to her heart.
