Of South Park; age 86; passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 30, 2023; beloved husband of 63 years to Sally(Rickert) Spano; loving father of Philip H.(Dolly) Spano, Jr., Paul(Renee) Spano and Mark(Dana) Spano; grandfather of Josh(Rachel) Spano, Shayna(Ryan) Vietmeier, Lucas(Kelsey) Spano, Adam Spano, Eric Spano and Anthony Spano; great grandfather of Julian Vietmeier and Matteo Spano; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Brother of Phyllis Frishman; preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Phyllis Spano, three brothers and two sisters. Phil retired as Chief Plumbing Inspector for Allegheny Health Department; he taught plumbing at Connelly School.  He also was an Army Veteran, avid golfer, gardener, and he had a passion for working on small engines.  Family and friends will be received Tuesday, 6-8 PM and Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, 11 AM at St. Valentine Church, Bethel Park.  Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery with Military Honors.
